Puppies
Puppies that come from an experienced kennel should have photos and pedigrees.
The dog’s head is massive; the skull is flat and broad. The neck is muscular, and relatively short. Double-coated, Akita dogs have a short, dense undercoat, and a straight, medium-sized outer coat. Akitas weigh about 75-120 pounds, and stand at 26-28 inches at the shoulder.

Akitas are squarely built working dogs. They have erect ears and dark almond-shaped eyes. The Akita’s tail is curved. These dogs possess outstanding strength and endurance. They are of a heavy bone structure and much substance. Massive and proportionate, these are beautiful dogs of many talents.
